4C-6C global temperature rise is a direct threat to the continued existence of human kind. In some areas, including the Arctic and the southern tip of Africa, temperatures could rise as much as 10C! At 10C, oceans become anoxic, spewing lethal gasses and making the area uninhabitable by organisms that require oxygen. Anaerobic bacteria and fungi live. This has been known by Shell and others for a long time - some of these documents date back into the 1970s. Climate change is happening. It’s real. It’s caused by human activity, especially the burning of fossil fuels. Somehow though, there’s rhetoric that it’s not real, or even that there’s global *cooling*, which can be traced to a couple of magazine articles from 40 years ago, or that if it is happening, it’s outside of human control. The evidence for that is that climate change has happened in the past, even before humans existed. This time it is happening much faster, and is not correlated with such things as being closer to the sun or from the nonsense of increased solar output. This can be determined from satellites. THEY are getting no more sun than they ever did.
Who is paying for this misinformation and rhetoric planting the seeds of doubt. Follow the money. WHO has the most to gain by the continuing burning of fossil fuels? Much of that came out during the 2016 US Presidential election, if you were paying attention.
With 47-and-counting self-reinforcing natural systems which are increasing greenhouse gasses at an exponential rate, this is happening MUCH faster than previously thought - even as of a few months ago.
